SERVICE
The Haribans Charity Trust provides a number of services to the community, namely;
CAREGIVERS
The trust hopes to have caregivers to visit the homes of patients. We do not currently have facilities to house serious cases. The care giving will also include the transportation of patients to hospitals and clinics wherever necessary.
COUNSELORS
Counselors will be stationed at clinics and at our headquarters, at the OM HARI SABHA TEMPLE. The counselors will facilitate the before and after testing of individuals.
AID
Food packages and supplements will be subsidized by the Haribans Charity Trust wherever necessary.
SELF-HELP SCHEMES
The Haribans Charity Trust will encourage individuals to become self-sufficient by supplying saleable goods such as clothes packages. These can be purchased from the Trust and sold to the public. The clothing packages will be donated by other organizations such as churches, temples, and the public.
ABOUT US
In the early 1990's, the Trust was involved in the purchase of two prime sites in Everest Heights, Verulam. The first site was earmarked for the building of a Hindu temple to service the community of Everest Heights and surrounding areas, whilst the second site was reserved for the development of a Community hall and training centre. The rationale being to assist people from all walks of life to become active members of society.
To date the Unicity has passed the plans for the temple and the project has begun.
AIMS
* To serve and be involved in religious, cultural and social activities.
* To foster and promote unity, brotherhood, harmony and the comprehensive upliftment and general welfare of the public.
* To promote dialogue, understanding and co-operation with all cultural, linguistic and religious organizations within the Republic of South Africa and internationally.
* To improve the skills of persons in need of assistance and /or to teach new skills to people and to help make people more productive and less reliant on charity.
* To improve and increase literacy of people.
* To reduce the suffering of the afflicted and to improve their quality of life.
* To improve the social and living standards of the people especially the poor and deprived.
OBJECTIVES
* To establish committees for the proper administration of the Haribans Charity Trust.
* To formulate rules and regulations for the proper administration of the Haribans Charity Trust.
* To strive for the building of nationhood.
* To collect and receive monies by way of gifts, donations, legacies, subscriptions etc. from any source whatsoever.
* To publish and/or purchase religious books, magazines, journals, bulletins, newspapers and any other literature for sale and/or distribution.
* To adhere to our motto SERVICE TO MAN IS SERVICE TO GOD.
* To acquire either by purchase, lease, hire, mortgage, cession, exchange, donation or gift movable or immovable property.
* To co-operate and work with other organizations pursuing objectives similar to the Haribans Charity Trust.
* To promote the general welfare of the public.
* To assist any organization which is involved in the upliftment of the community.

The Haribans Charity Trust is a dynamic, non-profit organisation looking for members from all walks of life who will assist in uplifting the community through the propagation of cultural and social development programmes.
The Trust originated as the brainchild of Mr. W Haribans over twenty years ago. At the time, Mr Haribans was involved in assisting students at tertiary institutions.
The Trust has evolved into a non-profit organisation and its present goal is that of erecting a temple and hall/training centre to serve the surrounding community of Everest Heights, Verulam.
