The Haribans Charity Trust has embarked on a social development programme that embraces the concept of uplifting the community and social development. The lack of community awareness and assistance was the catalyst for the Trust to establish a community HIV/AIDS awareness programme, which will be known as CAP (Community Aids Project). The Trust has forged links with the Methodist Church and other organizations to assist in establishing CAP.
The Trust is in a process of looking for volunteers to become facilitators and caregivers. We have extended our search to all that are interested in the youth, adult and worker category of volunteers, who will be able to assist and care for a large number of diverse age groups. It is our goal and objective to bring together all role players to begin the fight against ignorance and resistance, offer services, training and assistance without compensation to the community at large. We envision that by bringing all stakeholders together we can assist in the fight against HIV/AIDS, the pandemic which is beginning to erode and destroy our society.
